Tournament Rules

Pictures will not be accepted past 4:00 pm.

Participants are expected to obey all state and federal boating and fishing laws.

At least (1) member of each boat must attend the mandatory captains’ meeting on Thursday August 14th the meeting will begin at 6:00 pm. at Sea Fire Grill , New Port Richey.

Each team must be present and checked in at Sea fire grill by 4:00 pm on Saturday in order for pictures to be eligible. NEED TO BE IN LINE BY 4PM AT SEA FIRE GRILL.

The boundaries for the tournament are from 28.571447, -82.657369 (Pine Island) to 27.917543, -82.832529 (Belleair Bridge).

There will be no check-in for the start of the tournament . Teams are permitted to depart from their respective location. DO NOT FISH BEFORE 7AM - If it’s determined that a boat started fishing prior to 7 am, you will be automatically disqualified.

Fishing will be from 7 am until 4pm

Live and/or artificial baits are allowed.

Communication between boats in the tournament and sharing of bait between boats in the tournament is permitted.

Cast nets are to be used for catching bait only. Fish must be taken on rod and reel only.Wading is permitted within 100 feet of the boat.

In order to be eligible, the team who is entering a fish must have caught the fish entered. It will be left up to each team to use the honor system to observe this rule.

Guides that are being utilized as charter captains are not permitted to fight fish.

In the event of a tie, winners will be determined by earliest time the photo was received.

Winners will be determined by the longest length of the respective fish and the total inches of all three fish for the slam.

Pictures:

✅ Measuring boards will be provided to each team at the captains’ meeting.

✅ All fish will be measured, head to the left belly towards you tail on number lines.

✅ Fish need to be measured using the provided Lee Fisher Ruler with designated boat number and secret item in the picture

✅ Make sure the picture is clear and lines are legible

Each boat may only enter one fish per category, meaning you can’t win more than one place in any category. (I.E. The same team can’t win 1st and 2nd Trout)

A “Sweep” is NOT possible in this tournament, meaning you CAN’T win 1st place in each category and the “OVERALL”. If you win or place in the slam, you can’t win or place in the Trout, Redfish or Snook
